Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is an upcoming American h orrorfilm directed by André Øvredal and written by Dan Hageman (screenplay by), Kevin Hageman. CBS Films released the first long movie of Guillermo del Toro's film Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, also directed by acclaimed director André Øvredal. The film is scheduled to premiere both in theaters in the United States and internationally on Friday, August 9 of this year.
The film promises us not only to be a story of pure fear and horror, but also of suspense, excitement and a lot of adrenaline, since, as confirmed through the trailer, children involve adults to investigate the horrific events that come happening in the town of Mill Valley that terrorize the entire population. The plot of the film, apart from being spooky, also shows us a North America that seemed to have existed light years of our present reality: to begin, the story unfolds in 1968, where children with a lot of leisure time, get into To investigate a haunted house in which they get a book of frightening stories, which become reality as the days pass, what seemed to be a fun children's adventure becomes a terrifying truth when the stories of that book come true. The manuscript, apparently, was written by a girl who lived in the mansion invaded by children and was tortured in it. His stories could well be stories of the atrocities he lived or a clever and creative way to escape the sad reality he lived.
Principal photography commenced on May 1, 2019 in Elmsford, United States and concluded on July 15, 2019. The film is set for release on August 9, 2019.
